The ICPR 2024 Workshop Chairs invite proposals for the 27th International Conference on Pattern Recognition which is to be held in Kolkata, India during December 01-05, 2024. Workshops can be half-day or full-day, and it is also possible to hold workshops that will be operated in a virtual format, but it is expected that most workshops will take place physically at the venue to be arranged by the ICPR-2024 organizer. We seek Workshop proposals on timely topics and applications of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Image and Sound Analysis, Pattern Recognition, Biometric and Human Computer Interaction, Document Analysis and Recognition and Biomedical Imaging and Bioinformatics. Workshops are expected to provide a forum for the active exchange of ideas and experiences. Members from all segments of the ICPR community are invited to submit workshop proposals for review. Each proposal will be assessed based on its scientific merit, proposed structure, overall relevance, and how it complements the main conference.

Workshop organizers will be responsible for inviting speakers and ensuring their participation, submission, and review of papers, preparation of the program, etc.

The workshop proposal should be submitted at IAPR webform https://iapr.org/conferences/international-conference-on-pattern-recognition/icpr-workshop-application-form/ and via email to the ICPR 2024 Workshop Chairs at icpr2024workshop@gmail.com by March 31st, 2024.

Workshop sponsorship
Workshop organizers should obtain a sponsorship/endorsement for the workshop from IAPR Committee via IAPR webform mentioned above, which is mandatory to include the papers in the ICPR workshop proceedings. The guidelines about how to apply can be found at (http://www.iapr.org/conferences/applications.php). Otherwise, the workshop will not be sponsored by IAPR, and therefore the name and logo of IAPR cannot be used for the workshop. In addition, the papers cannot be included in the ICPR workshop proceedings.

The accepted papers in the workshops will be published in Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS), Springer (https://www.springer.com/gp/computer-science/lncs).

The proposals should include the following information in the following format:

• The Title of the Workshop
1. The topics covered by the workshop, with a description which specify the goals and the technical issues that the workshop aims to address.
2. A brief discussion of why and the workshop is relevant and of interest for the community.
3. A description of how the proposal relates to previous workshops at main conferences in the field.

• Organizers and Speakers Information
1. The names, affiliations, and email addresses of the workshop organizers.
2. Why the proposers are well suited for organizing the workshop (including past experience).
3. Invited Speakers Names and Tentative Talk Titles. For each speaker, please indicate if attendance is tentative or confirmed.

• Logistics
1. Preference for half-day or full-day workshop.
2. Preference for on-site or virtual workshop.
3. Estimated numbers of oral presentations and posters.
4. Tentative program outline.
5. Expected number of paper submissions.
6. Program committee list. For each committee member, please indicate if the inclusion in the list is tentative or confirmed.
7. Expected number of attendees.
8. Advertisement and publicity planned.
9. Special space or equipment requests, if any.
10. In case the workshop plans to run a competition, please include details.

• Important Dates
1. Workshop paper submission deadline.
2. Notification to authors.
3. Camera ready deadline (Workshop Camera ready paper deadline should be at the latest by: September 27, 2024)

The registration fee will be set by ICPR 2024 and will be the same for all workshops. ICPR 2024 reserves the right to cancel any workshop if there are too few registrations for the workshop by the early registration deadline to cover the costs of hosting the workshop.

Each workshop covers one free registration. The workshop organizers may use this free registration as they wish. The rest of the organizers including keynote/invited speakers need to register separately at 'Workshop Rate', if they wish to attend the workshop. Please note that one workshop registration (student or non-student) can cover up to two workshop papers and these two papers may be from two different ICPR-2024 workshops..
